南華足球部主委羅傑承先生，以及熱刺國際發展總監Mr. Fran Jones，今天於香港四季酒店舉行新聞發佈會，雙方共同宣佈成為「伙伴球會」(Club Partners)。

南華足主羅傑承表示：「南華一直致力邁向國際，現在很榮幸成為熱刺亞洲第一球會合作伙伴。合作計劃首先發展兩年，如合作愉快，將會攜手延續關係。」

「我們非常欣賞羅傑承先生及其團隊展示的專業態度。南華擁有超過一百年歷史，源遠流長。我們能夠與南華成為伙伴，感到十分光榮。」熱刺國際發展總監Mr. Fran Jones表示：「亞洲足球市場發展持續冒起，我們對此十分關注，並重視亞洲區的重大商機。是次合作計劃能令熱刺提高亞洲區知名度外，亦同時切實地支持南華，香港及中國的足運發展。」

自2007年，熱刺積極於世界各地尋求視野相同的伙伴，結盟成為伙伴球會。南華是與熱刺結盟的首支亞洲球隊，早前熱刺宣佈與南非超級聯賽「超級體育聯」（非洲）、美職聯「聖荷西地震」（北美洲）及巴甲「國際體育會」（南美洲）結盟。

是次結盟，是一項具有深度的實質合作計劃，必定會帶來附加價值。除了在技術交流及商業經營方面的實質合作外，熱刺將擁有與南華各年齡層球員的優先簽約權。

熱刺將全力支持南華之教練訓練系統，透過提供科學化數據、訓練素材，及安排熱刺及南華教練往來觀摩雙方之訓練系統，研究及上課，兩會可望日後於香港或中國成立足球訓練學校，培養優秀的教練及球員。

談到球員交流方面，Mr. Jones補充：「南華已向我們推薦具潛質的球員，稍後我回到倫敦，將會與教練們商討，希望有機會引進香港球員到我們的球場受訓。」

有關合作計劃之市場推廣，雙方將會共同發掘國際性贊助商，共同拓展在中國足球市場之商機，提高兩會國際知名度，共享努力成果。

Club Partnership - Tottenham Hotspur & South China

Mr. Steven Lo, Chairman of South China Football Management Committee and Mr. Fran Jones, Head of International Development of Tottenham Hotspur, officially announced a Club Partnership at a press conference held on 3 November, 2009, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong. 

“South China is seeking to venture internationally and is honoured to be Tottenham Hotspur's first club partner in Asia.” Mr. Lo said, “the partnership is initiated with a two-year contract with an option for further engagement.
 
 “We have been extremely impressed by the professionalism shown by Mr. Lo and his team.  South China is a very impressive football club with a great history and heritage and we are very proud to partner with South China.” said Mr. Jones.  “Asia is an emerging football market and of course a very important one commercially, this partnership is a perfect way for us to continue to raise the profile of our own club in Asia and at the same time support the development of South China, Hong Kong and Chinese football as a whole.”

Since 2007, Tottenham Hotspur has been seeking for like minded strategic partners worldwide, and South China became the remarkably first Asian Club Partner of its kind, following Tottenham Hotspur's partnership with SuperSport United in South Africa,
San Jose Earthquakes in Northern America, and Sport Club Internacional in Southern America.

It is a real partnership with depth that adds value to both clubs.  Besides solid planning in sharing of best practice in any areas of the technical and business sides of football, Tottenham Hotspur has the first option on South China players on all age levels.

Tottenham Hotspur will significantly support South China's coaching development through the exchange of scientific data, coaching materials and visits of coaching staffs to and from both teams.  The two clubs will explore the possibility of a joint youth Academy and training center in Hong Kong or in China.

Commenting on the players exchange, Mr. Jones added that “South China have already recommended several players to us with good potential, I will discuss these players with our coaches on my return to London, aiming at a possibility to inviting certain players to spend training at our training ground”.

In terms of the partnership's marketing plan, both teams will design to raise the profile of the partnership locally and internationally by exploring possible sponsorship synergies. Also, the common interest of the China market will be further discussed.  Business modules and global recognitions of both clubs are to be expanded through the achievements of the above.

Given the innumerable mutual benefits under this club partnership, South China and Tottenham Hotspur awaits for the success to be shared by both.
